Keystone Restyling Debuts "2006 MAGNUM NRG" Project Vehicle
COLUMBUS, Ohio - When Keystone Restyling Products set out to build The Magnum NRG ('Energy'), its latest project vehicle, it not only wanted an eye-catching showcase for its own products, it wanted to create a vehicle that a typical automotive fan could replicate on his own. The result is a head-turning, heart-stopping highly-customized Magnum SRT8 which made its debut at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
"Our concept car was designed to attract attention by appealing to a wide range of enthusiasts," says Alan Golding, vice president, Keystone Restyling Products. "The Magnum NRG is a showcase for products that enhance both style and performance. Some builders go over the top with customization, leaving consumers believing that they could never achieve this look. This project proves that it's possible to build a vehicle that will turn heads, yet still be attainable."
Front and center is Keystone's twin-scoop GHD-301 ram-air 'Good Hood,' feeding into a functional cold-air intake system. Newly designed Keystone 'Pocket Fenders' with machined billet trim bring added flare to the sides of this hot rod station wagon. Other modifications include a stainless exhaust from Corsa Performance; Dynatech performance headers; 22" Toyo Tires and Weld Wheels; a KW tuned suspension package; Boston Acoustics speaker and amp upgrade; Vizualogic All-in-One Headrest Monitor/DVD Player Entertainment System; Katzkin leather and carbon fiber interior; Precision Grill package; Art of Noise custom speaker enclosure; BASF paint by Paintz by Sam; and Solutia/Vanceva laminated glass with metallic tint.
Keystone plans a major media initiative for the image vehicle. Golding said the company will tour the Magnum NRG to a variety of shows and events in 2007, including the SEMA Spring Show in Atlanta; the Keystone Automotive Big Show at the Meadowlands in NJ; the Keystone Automotive Big Show Midwest in Atlanta; the Hot Rod Power Tour (date tba); the Good Guys Nationals in Columbus, Ohio; and the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, Ohio.
It will be prominently featured in the company's advertising and marketing programs for the year, and on the company's website, www.keystonerestyling.com. It also will be used for on-site sales training and new product introductions at JC Whitney in Chicago; Stylin' Concepts in Cleveland and at Summit Racing in Akron, Ohio.
The vehicle will be available for media ride and drives prior to each of the above-mentioned shows. For media inquiries or to schedule a one-on-one demonstration, please contact Mariellen Fagan at Crowl, Montgomery & Clark, at 330-494-6999, ext. 201; or email mfagan@crowlinc.com.
